Learn with Fun. Grow with Success. Achieve with Greatness!

Credentials:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science  (University of Waterloo)
  • Master’s of Applied Science (British Columbia Institute of Technology – BCIT)
  • 5+ years as a Teacher Assistant & Tutor!

From the time Breanne was born, she has always been both a curious learner and teacher. Starting off by teaching skating at the age of 11, she quickly developed a love for education. With her curious mind and love for Math and Sciences, she dreamed of becoming an engineer. Fast forward, to today and she has achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science (Engineering) from the University of Waterloo, and then further pursued her studies obtaining a Master’s of Applied Science from BCIT. Currently, she works as an Engineer-in-Training at a firm providing computer modelling for green building projects and enjoys the challenges that accompany this job.

During her time at the University of Waterloo, Breanne was a Teaching Assistant for first- and second-year engineering courses where her spark for sharing knowledge was re-lit. She began tutoring throughout her schooling, coming with over 5 years of tutoring experience. As a tutor she understands the individual needs of each student and that no learning style is the same. In fact, she highly believes in integrating outside-the-classroom passions with in-classroom lessons. Through her own educational journey, she understands the importance of igniting that spark in helping the student see the holistic ideals and creating that bridge between learning and fun.

Born in Ontario, Breanne moved to the west coast to explore her love of nature and mountains, and most weekends you can find her on one of the local trails with her dog. She applies her same love for nature to her students in helping them realise their passions and potential in STEM. Breanne’s experience in engineering has led her to a problem-based approach where she aims to not only guide the students but teach them core fundamentals of Math that they can apply to everyday life and future lessons.
