Outside of tutoring, she finds solace in nature with her two rescue dogs, engages in meaningful conversations, and expresses creativity through nature-inspired art. A passionate advocate for all living beings, Brenna draws from 8 years of wildlife rehabilitation and self-directed outreach initiatives collecting and distributing clothing for those experiencing homelessness. These experiences have deepened her commitment to conservation, community, and a compassion for all living beings.
In a recent trip to the tranquil hills of Northern Thailand, Brenna immersed herself in mindfulness and meditation studies at a Buddhist monastery. The teachings of mindfulness, interconnectedness, and compassion resonated deeply with her. She feels compelled to share the wisdom of mindfulness with others and believes that in today’s fast-paced world, cultivating inner peace is more essential than ever.
Brenna holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University, majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Her academic background has honed her analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing an approach to mathematical problems with clarity and precision. Her passion for understanding the intricacies of life has instilled in her a patient and methodical approach to explaining concepts, making her an effective tutor. She aims to help build confidence in mathematics by breaking down complex concepts into manageable, bite-sized pieces, ensuring learning is both effective and fun!
