Shelley has a deep passion for travel and connecting with new people. Growing up on a cattle and grain farm in Southern Saskatchewan instilled in her an appreciation for the diverse beauty of Canada. Each region has its unique geography and significance, much like the individuality of the learners she teaches. Shelley believes that education, like exploring new places, is a lifelong journey where every student brings their own history and experiences.
She enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, and being on the water, while family remains her greatest priority. Shelley’s favourite activities include watching hockey, playing volleyball, and soccer.
Her educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that learning extends beyond textbooks and is enriched by personal experiences. After graduating from a small town in Saskatchewan, Shelley moved to Regina to pursue her Bachelor of Education with a major in Business and a minor in Math. In addition, she holds a certificate in Business and a 4th-year Power Engineering degree.
Shelley has worked in diverse educational settings, including Saskatchewan Polytechnic, the University of Regina, Northern Lights College, public and private school boards, and other learning centres. She has also provided private tutoring, bringing her wealth of experience and commitment to helping learners succeed.
