Chris has been tutoring in some capacity all throughout his career as a student. He recognized at a young age how rewarding it was to assist his peers with learning in any way he could, and he has continued to do so ever since.

Chris’s passion for math and science drove him to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. After the first year, he realized it was one of the many necessary “miss-takes” a student must experience along the endless journey of learning. While he still has an unyielding love for math, science, and design in general, he has begun to dabble in the language arts. He is the proud author of a fantasy novel and a literary fiction novel, and he plans to write many more stories in the future.

Chris believes that being a student is a lifelong commitment, and he makes sure to learn as much from his students as they do from him. Together they engage in a cooperative campaign of learning where trust and confidence are the fundamental building blocks of success. A strong relationship between teacher and student is essential, and Chris strives to build solid rapport with each of his students.

When not working on his current novel or laying down a groove on his drum kit, Chris often finds himself lost in some other whimsical realm of fantasy. He loves to read poetry, play video games, and listen to music narrating epic legends of sword and sorcery.

Chris has been tutoring in some capacity all throughout his career as a student. He recognized at a young age how rewarding it was to assist his peers with learning in any way he could, and he has continued to do so ever since.

Chris’s passion for math and science drove him to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. After the first year, he realized it was one of the many necessary “miss-takes” (see the clapperboard in our Twisted Process) a student must experience along the endless journey of learning. While he still has an unyielding love for math, science, and design in general, he has begun to follow his other passions (see the litmus strip in our Twisted Process) by dabbling in the language arts. He is the proud author of a fantasy novel and a literary fiction novel, and he plans to write many more stories in the future.

Chris harbours a deep-seated passion for learning, and he accordingly encourages his students to follow their passions wherever they lead. He believes that being a student is a lifelong commitment, and he makes sure to learn as much from his students as they do from him. Together they engage in a cooperative campaign of learning where trust and confidence are the fundamental building blocks of success. A strong relationship between teacher and student is essential, and Chris strives to build solid rapport with each of his students while including everyone within his students’ “circles”; teamwork makes the dream work! (See the circles in our Twisted Process!)

When not working on his current novel or laying down a groove on his drum kit, Chris often finds himself lost in some other whimsical realm of fantasy. He loves to read poetry, play video games, and listen to music narrating epic legends of sword and sorcery.

You can also catch Chris on our YouTube channel reading The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Golden Compass, Frankenstein, The Tiger and the Wolf, A Wizard of Earthsea, and The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Is Chris the right fit for your child or for you? We’d love to talk this important decision through with you. If you don’t see a subject that you need tutoring for, please call us at: 1-866-977-4433, check out the full list of Subjects we tutor in, or fill out our detailed form online.

In Chris's own words:"The beauty of the ‘Twist' is how it acts as a bridge connecting the classroom to the real world. By walking upon this bridge, students are able to excel in their studies while learning and exploring who they are and what they want to do. They can gain the confidence needed to be honest with themselves, thus revealing their aspirations and acting upon their ambitions. With my guidance and encouragement, students will be able to hone the highly transferable skills taught within and outside the classroom and employ them in such a way that translates into success. Through this process, the students build a solid formation on which to construct all manner of future projects no matter where they decide to take their well-developed skill sets."
